Khartoum / Al Hamish’s Voice – November 6, 2025
Six civilians, including a child, were killed and twelve others sustained varying injuries as a result of heavy artillery shelling that targeted residential neighborhoods in the city of Dilling, South Kordofan State, according to a statement by the Sudan Doctors Network and the Nuba Mountains Platform.
The Sudan Doctors Network said in a statement published on its official platforms that the shelling was carried out by forces of the SPLM –Al-Hilu faction, which is allied with the RSF militia. The statement indicated that the attack “deliberately targeted residential areas and medical facilities,” describing the incident as a “fully constituted war crime.”
The statement added that among the dead was a child, and that the injuries included critical cases that were transferred for treatment amid “extremely dire” humanitarian conditions caused by the siege imposed on the city for more than two years.
The Nuba Mountains Platform said that the city of Dilling was subjected to shelling from three directions -the east, west, and northwest- with more than 40 shells of 120 mm and howitzer rounds, confirming that the bombardment targeted populated areas.
The Sudan Doctors Network called on the international community and United Nations organizations to “take urgent action to document the violations and provide relief to the wounded and affected,” holding the SPLM and the RSF “fully responsible” for the shelling and the resulting losses.
