Ambassador Kamal Bashir, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed that Sudan possesses sufficient evidence to convict the UAE of its key role in fueling the war, through its military and logistical support to the RSF.
Speaking during an informational conference organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information in cooperation with the Sudan News Agency at the General Intelligence Hall in Port Sudan, Bashir announced that the Sudanese government is moving forward with an official lawsuit against the UAE at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, with a session scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, April 10.
He noted that the support provided by the UAE to the RSF has deepened the suffering of the Sudanese people, resulting in widespread destruction of infrastructure, disruption of institutions, and a threat to the country’s unity and stability.
Bashir also outlined the government’s efforts to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict, while once again praising the resilience of the Sudanese people in the face of what he termed a “conspiracy against sovereignty and peace.”
