Two Russian companies, “Al-Rassi Global Services” and “Zarubezhneft,” signed a memorandum of agreement today, Saturday, with the Sudanese company “Bashair Petroleum Pipelines” in the city of Port Sudan, to cooperate in the field of oil services
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Russian side by Alexey Ivanin, Chairman of the Board of Al-Rassi Company, and on behalf of the Sudanese side by the Director General of Bashair Company, in the presence of a delegation from the Russian Embassy and a representative of Zarubezhneft.
In the same context, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, Engineer Mohammed Awad Al-Khair, signed the minutes of the joint meetings with the delegation of Russian companies, in the presence of several senior officials from the ministry. The discussions covered technical and administrative aspects in preparation for reaching a final agreement, which includes a partnership with Sudapet and investment in exploration, production, and petroleum services in collaboration with national companies.
It is worth noting that the Russian delegation arrived in Sudan a week ago and met with several ministers and officials to explore investment opportunities across various sectors, with oil and its services at the forefront.
