Sudanese Prime Minister Kamal El-Tayeb Idris has affirmed that the upcoming government will consist exclusively of qualified national professionals, distancing itself from partisan quotas and political affiliations. This step marks the beginning of a new chapter rooted in professionalism, integrity, and merit.
In an official speech delivered on Thursday, June 19, 2025, Idris said that Sudan needs a model of governance that restores public confidence in the state and prioritizes national interest over partisan or ideological agendas. He affirmed that the planned “Government of Hope” will consist of 22 ministries and specialized administrative units, including the National Council for Economic Planning.
He called on qualified Sudanese professionals, inside and outside Sudan, to apply to take part in managing the upcoming phase by submitting their resumes to the relevant authorities, which will be announced soon. He noted that the opportunity would be open to all competent Sudanese citizens, based on merit rather than loyalty.
He emphasized that the country is going through a historic turning point that calls for mobilizing the best national talents and rising above political polarization. He affirmed that the major challenges facing Sudan require a cohesive team characterized by competence, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
