Khartoum / Al Hamish’s Voice – Thursday, September 11, 2025 – The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Joint Force of the Armed Struggle Movements announced in separate statements on Thursday the liberation of Barah city in North Kordofan State following fierce battles against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The Armed Forces affirmed that their units, backed by the various components of the National Dignity War, entered Barah city “by force, with determination and capability,” and succeeded in clearing it of “militias and mercenaries.” It added that military operations will continue “step by step and stage by stage” until what it described as the complete cleansing of the country is achieved.
In another statement, the Joint Force of the Armed Struggle Movements explained that its forces had taken part in the fighting alongside the army . It affirmed that they had completely destroyed “ The RSF Unit No. 449,” leaving behind dead and wounded fighters as well as large quantities of destroyed equipment.
The Joint Force considered this victory a new addition to the series of military successes, warning the remnants of the RSF that their fate would be “defeat and collapse.” It further noted that the path toward Al Fashir has now become clearer.
