Khartoum /Al Hamish’s Voice – October 5, 2025 – The Sudanese Armed Forces on Sunday accused the RSF of launching a drone attack targeting civilian facilities in the city of Al-Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan State, causing material damage to several public facilities but resulting in no casualties.
A statement issued by the office of the spokesperson for the Sudanese Armed Forces said that “the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia targeted several civilian facilities in the city of Al-Obeid last night with suicide drones, causing damage to the Teaching Hospital, the Al-Daman Hospital, a number of residential neighborhoods, and public service facilities,” confirming that “no casualties were reported.”
The statement added that “such attacks do not represent a victory for the aggressors, but rather a new moral defeat and further proof of their continued violations of international humanitarian law and their deliberate harm to innocent civilians.”
The city of Al-Obeid has witnessed an escalation in drone strikes in recent weeks, amid ongoing clashes between the Sudanese army and the RSF across the Kordofan and Darfur states.
