Al Fashir / Al Hamish’s Voice – October 14, 2025
Dr. Imran Ismail adam was killed today in the city of Al Fashir, North Darfur State, after shelling targeted the clinic where he was working. The attack was attributed to the RSF, as part of a series of assaults that have struck medical facilities and personnel in the city, which has been under siege for months.
Medical sources told Al Hamish’s Voice that Dr. Imran was killed while performing his duty treating the wounded and assisting the injured, after a shell directly hit the clinic, destroying it and causing the death and injury of several civilians.
The late doctor was among the medical staff who continued to work in Al Fashir despite repeated shelling and severe shortages of medical supplies. The city is currently facing a deepening humanitarian crisis due to the ongoing siege and the collapse of the health system.
Medical associations in North Darfur mourned Dr. Imran, describing his death as “a great loss to the health sector.” They stressed that targeting doctors and hospitals constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and urged the international community to take immediate action to protect medical personnel and health facilities.
The incident comes just days after a similar attack targeted the Saudi Hospital in Al Fashir, leaving dozens of civilians and healthcare workers dead or injured. The attack comes amid growing warnings of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe in the city due to the ongoing siege and the depletion of supplies.
