In a statement received by Al-Hamish’s Voice the Coordination Committee of Al-Fashir Resistance Committees explained that the ongoing attacks and deliberate shelling had turned the preparation of a hot meal a life-threatening risk for cooks and volunteers, forcing those responsible for the charitable kitchens to suspend operations in order to protect lives. The statement emphasized that this decision was not just an administrative measure, but a desperate cry of pain from a wounded city that endures the daily horrors of war and hunger.
