Al-Malha Center for Human Rights revealed the burial of 203 civilians who were killed by the RSF in the town of Al-Malha, North Darfur. The burials took place more than a month after the attack on the town. The bodies were found scattered across various locations, including the victims’ homes and along roads where they had attempted to flee. Among the dead were women and children
.The center also noted the continued disappearance of several residents whose whereabouts remain unknown. It emphasized that the RSF carried out a systematic impoverishment of the population through large-scale looting targeting markets and homes, in addition to burning markets and destroying property.
The center confirmed that the town has become nearly deserted, with over 98% of its population approximately 110,000 families displaced to nearby villages and areas. These displaced individuals are facing dire humanitarian conditions, amid severe shortages of food, water, and shelter, along with an almost total absence of humanitarian aid.
The statement explained that the crisis is worsening due to the shutdown of water stations, either because of fuel shortages or technical failures, as well as the complete halt of goods transportation. It warned that the continuation of this situation threatens an imminent humanitarian catastrophe.
The Al-Malha Center for Human Rights called on humanitarian, relief, and charitable organizations to urgently intervene and provide essential aid, including food, water, medicine, shelter supplies, and hygiene materials.
