The RSF have been accused of committing multiple violations against civilians in North Darfur State, which reportedly resulted in several casualties, including a well-known doctor and the medical director of Umm Kaddada Hospital.
Local sources have confirmed that the city of El Fasher lost yesterday Dr. Sandal Bashir Haroun Barka, one of the leading medical professionals in the city’s hospitals. He had remained dedicated to his work since the onset of the war, continuously providing crucial medical services to patients in the midst of the conflict.
The doctor was killed along with a number of citizens when a public transport bus was targeted in a suicide attack carried out by the RSF.
In another serious development, reliable sources stated that the RSF killed the medical director of Umm Kaddada Hospital, along with several patients and injured individuals who were receiving treatment at the hospital.
The RSF announced in an official statement that they had taken control of the city of Umm Kaddada, a strategic hub in North Darfur where the headquarters of the 24th Brigade of the 6th Division is located. Local sources reported that the forces launched a large-scale attack on the city from two directions on Thursday morning.
